This policy covers the Slipway waitlist and this website. It is written to be read. If something is unclear, write to hello@slipway.io.
Who we are
Slipway Labs, Inc. runs this site and decides how your data is used. In legal terms we are the controller.
What we collect
When you join the waitlist we collect only what the form asks for:
- Work email, so we can tell you when your seat opens.
- Plan choice, if you reserved Starter or Team on the pricing page.
- Referral code, if a colleague invited you.
Our servers also log the page you signed up on, your browser type and a shortened IP address.
Why we use it
- To hold your place in Batch 02 and email you when it opens.
- To keep the waitlist price attached to your reservation.
- To count referrals and move you up the list.
- To keep the form free of spam and abuse.
NoteWe do not sell your data, and we never use it to train models.
Legal bases
We rely on your consent for waitlist emails and on our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure. You can withdraw consent at any time. It does not affect what happened before.
How long we keep it
Waitlist records are kept until general availability (planned for Q1 2027) plus 90 days. If you never activate, they are deleted after that. Server logs are kept for 30 days.
Who processes it for us
We share data only with providers that work under contract for us, by category:
- Email delivery
- Form and database hosting
- Error monitoring
The current list of providers is available on request.
Where it is stored
Data is stored in the EU or the US, in the region you choose at activation. It is encrypted in transit and at rest. Transfers outside the EU rely on standard contractual clauses.
Cookies
This site stores two things in your browser: your place on the waitlist and your cookie choice. There are no advertising cookies and no cross-site trackers.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, have it corrected or deleted, object to its use, or take it with you. We answer within 30 days. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
